Jonathan Lewis, Co-founder

Jonathan Lewis is a co-founder of avacal and Service-Disabled US Army Veteran. As a 2005 West Point graduate, Jonathan was a four-year Army Football letter winner and served the Army as a Field Artillery Officer. Jonathan deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF) as a member of a Multiple Launch Rocket System (MLRS) battalion assigned to 4th Infantry Division in support of operations in the Multi-National Division-Baghdad. 

After completing his military obligation, Jonathan relocated to Huntsville to begin his career as a systems engineer, supporting a diverse customer base across multiple defense agencies.

Walker Curry, Co-founder

As a member of the U.S. Marine Corps, Walker served as an operator with a special operations group, deploying to Camp Fallujah, Iraq while tasked with a wide variety of direct action missions.

After completing his military obligation, Walker began work as a cybersecurity professional in Huntsville, Alabama. As an Information Assurance Officer, Walker gained valuable experience carrying out system Certification and Accreditation (C&A) risk assessments, managing complex network security and implemented and testing Army Information Assurance Vulnerability Alerts (IAVA) for multiple defense systems. Walker's security experience soon complimented his hardware knowledge as he installed and maintained workstations and servers, Windows, Network Devices, Virtual Machine Components and virtual file servers and storage devices. Soon after becoming a Cyber Security Analyst, Walker was CISSP certified and help found avacal.
